Natural raspberry character with a clean finish. Modern Australian liqueur range — small-batch and distinctly contemporary.
This is the sweeter of the two Botanic liqueurs on our shelf, and it wears it well. Sweetness runs higher than in the lemon myrtle, but the finish stays clean rather than sticky. Bitterness barely registers. Raspberry does all the talking.
Use it two ways. Over ice with prosecco and a squeeze of lime it makes a quick, loud-pink spritz. Poured straight over vanilla ice cream, pavlova or a flourless chocolate cake, it stands in for a coulis with a kick.
Keep it in the fridge once open and pour it cold. A cold pour reads less sugary and more like the fruit itself, which is the whole point of the bottle.
