About
Real-deal Alsace Gewurztraminer from a respected Ribeauvillé producer. The wine that actually tastes like its grape — and that's a compliment.
The Kientzler family has grown vines around Ribeauvillé for five generations. Brothers Thierry and Eric run the estate today, with Thierry making the wines. Their vineyards cover nearly fourteen hectares across four villages, including parcels in Grand Cru sites.
The wines ferment and age in stainless steel, so nothing stands between the grape and the glass. Gewurztraminer and Riesling together make up about half the plantings, which tells you where the family's heart is.
Open this with a Thai curry or a washed-rind cheese. Its spice and perfume hold their ground where lighter whites fade.
