About
Natalino Crognaletti's biodynamic-leaning Verdicchio. Bright citrus, green apple, fresh almond, that signature savoury bitter finish that makes Verdicchio a benchmark with seafood.
The name honours Gino Crognaletti, Natalino's father, who ran this farm before him. Natalino's grandfather Enrico, a master cooper, founded the estate at Montecarotto, and it has stayed in the family since.
'Di Gino' is the estate's everyday Verdicchio, given six months on its lees before bottling to fill out the palate. Verdicchio is the thing this house is known for. The top bottling, 'Il San Lorenzo', waits on its lees for around nine years before release. This one is the same grape without the wait, made for drinking on release.
Open it cold alongside antipasti or a simple pasta, and it will hold its shape from first course to last.
