About
CUNE (Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España) has been making Rioja since 1879. Reserva spends three years in cellar before release — cherry, leather, vanilla, the classic Rioja profile.
CUNE grows this Reserva around the villages of Rodezno, Villalba and Haro in Rioja Alta. The vineyards sit between 500 and 600 metres on clay-limestone soils, high ground by Spanish standards.
Tempranillo leads the blend, with small amounts of Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo in support. The wine spends 18 months in a mix of American and French oak barrels, then rests more than a year in bottle before release.
That patient schedule means the work is already done for you. Open it tonight beside roast lamb, a Sunday roast or a chunk of hard cheese. No decanter needed, no cellar required. It is the kind of red you keep in the house for good dinners at short notice.
