About
Walcher's Noisetto is built on a rum base, blended with organic hazelnuts and cocoa beans from Peru. Rich, layered, balanced — hazelnut-driven with a clean cocoa finish.
The Walcher family runs an estate distillery at Eppan in South Tyrol, the alpine corner of northern Italy. Grappa and fruit brandies are the house trade. Noisetto is their nut liqueur, and the ingredients travel to meet it: hazelnuts from Piedmont, rum from the Caribbean.
The hazelnuts are roasted gently before they join the rum base and a distillate of cocoa. The result smells of hazelnut and nougat and lands at 21 per cent, so it stays a sipper rather than a syrup.
Serve it cold and neat after dinner. It also earns its keep poured over vanilla ice cream, or added to black coffee in place of dessert.
Producer note
Walcher is a long-standing Alto Adige distillery known for its botanical and fruit-driven liqueurs.
