About
Yeringberg is one of the Yarra's oldest estates. The Prestige Red is their flagship Bordeaux blend — concentrated, structured, finely judged.
Fourth-generation siblings Sandra and David de Pury run Yeringberg today, farming one vineyard at Coldstream. Sandra makes the wine and refuses to rush it. Everything spends a long time in the cellar before it reaches a bottle.
The 2019 blends Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec, all estate grown. It spent 23 months in French oak barriques, 38% of them new. Blackberry, cedar and tobacco sit over fine tannin and fresh acidity, with real length.
These reds are built to age. Bottles from the estate's early years still showed well at 80 years old. Decant it for steak tonight, or put it away for a decade and thank yourself later.
