About
The kind of wine they drink with mortadella in Bologna. Cherry, red fruit, herbal lift. Casual, food-driven, never heavy.
Il Traliccio comes from Adria Vini, a winemaking venture set up in 2003 between the Boutinot wine house and Piedmont's Araldica cooperative. The fruit is grown under the Rubicone IGT in Emilia-Romagna, Sangiovese's more relaxed northern home.
The style is deliberate. Grapes are picked early to hold their acidity, fermented in stainless steel, and bottled without any oak. Alcohol sits low for a red. Where Tuscan Sangiovese brings grip and gravity, this brings juice and lift.
Twenty minutes in the fridge does it good. Then pour it alongside a margherita pizza, a bowl of ragù, or a plate of cured meats. Buy it for the weeknight, not the cellar.
